BENJAMIN KALU EMERGES AS THE DEPUTY SPEAKER HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES.
Abia State lawmaker known as Benjamin Kalu has been elected as the Deputy House of Representatives unopposed. Mr Kalu who is the immediate spokesperson of the House of Representatives was nominated as the Deputy Speaker House of Representatives by Jimi Benson who is a member of Ikorodu federal consistency of Lagos States and also Khadijat Abba-Ibrahim who is representing Damaturu Federal Constituency of Yobe State. He succeeded Mr Idris Wase who was a speakership aspirant and he is the 8th deputy speaker of the House Assembly since 1999.
There’s a saying that Orji Uzor Kalu was not in support of Benjamin Kalu being Deputy Speaker House of Representatives in the sense that they are from the same parties.
With Benjamin Kalu as the Deputy Speaker will the interest of the Igbos and the southeast be protected??.
